We only collect data that makes the product work for you. Each item below has one stated purpose.
Used to create and identify your account. We send transactional emails only — no marketing unless you opt in.
PDFs, EPUBs, and articles you save. Stored so you can access them from any device and pick up where you left off.
Which page or chapter you're on. Used only to restore your position when you return to a book.
Which sites you've chosen to block, your intervention mode, and your daily override limit. Synced across devices.
Pages read, reading streak, and time spent reading. Used only to power your own progress dashboard.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party for advertising or marketing purposes. Our only revenue source is subscriptions.

ScrollSwapp is ad-free. We do not allow advertisers to pay to promote their products inside our app or extension. Revenue comes from subscriptions only.
The extension monitors navigation to sites you configure to block and redirects you to your reading list. It does not record which blocked sites you visited, how often, or when.
storageSaves your settings and cached reading list locally in the browser — never sent anywhere without your action.
tabsRedirects your browser tab to your reading list when you visit a blocked site.
webNavigationDetects when you navigate to a blocked site so it can intervene. We do not log which sites you visit.
alarmsPowers focus session timers and the daily override reset at midnight.
contextMenusAdds a "Save to ScrollSwapp" option when you right-click any link or page.
notificationsSends a notification when a focus session ends. No content is stored.
Your data is stored on servers in the European Union. All transmission uses HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Payment details are handled entirely by Polar — we never see your full card number.
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your email, library, settings, and all statistics. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
